Your gift of appreciated stock or mutual funds is a great way to support Women’s Health and may provide significant tax advantages for you too.
Check with your tax advisor, but often capital gains taxes can be avoided or minimized because of your donation of stock to Women’s Health. Shares can be transferred electronically for a safe and easy donation. Stock can be transferred electronically to our broker at Edward Jones.
MAKE A LEGACY GIFT
Many of you experienced first-hand the struggle for reproductive freedom, particularly when abortion was illegal. Planned gifts and bequests are a way for you to ensure that future generations will have access to these services.
By remembering Women’s Health in your will or through a trust or annuity, you continue to give back beyond your lifetime and reflect your values far into the future.
There are several ways to remember Women’s Health. These include:
- Remembering Women’s Health in a living trust or through a charitable remainder trust
- Setting up gifts through your retirement funds, insurance policies, and brokerage accounts;
- Naming the clinic as a beneficiary of property, stock, or other assets; and
- Gifts from a Donor Advised Fund or Family Foundation

Do you have a car that you want to get rid of?
Women’s Health has a great partnership with Vehicles for Charity. All you need is a clear title in your name and Vehicles for Charity will make it easy to donate your old car to Women’s Health with no cost to you. The car is sold at an auction, the proceeds go to Women’s Health, and a tax deduction goes to you!

How can your gift to Women’s Health magically multiply? When your employer sponsors a matching gift program! Your company’s matching gift program could double, even triple, the impact of your gift.
How do I know if my organization has a matching gift policy?
Generally the best way to find out if your company matches charitable contributions is to ask your Human Resources department. After you find out the specific guidelines for your organization, you can fill out their form and send it to Women’s Health along with your contribution. When we receive the form we will complete our part and send it back to your company. Then, we receive the matching gift and you receive a copy of the acknowledgment so you know that your gift made an even bigger impact!
