Not sure how to start (or continue) conversations with your kids about sex?
Women’s Health can help!
Each of us, and therefore our kids, are growing and changing throughout our lives. We develop in our own way at our own time. While it may feel uncomfortable and awkward, parents and guardians play an important role in helping youth understand their sexuality is something to be handled with thought and value.
Periodically, Women’s Health community educators, medical practitioners, and members of our teen peer education group, SHAPE (Sexual Health & AIDS Awareness Peer Education), host presentations for parents. Join us for our Let’s Talk About Sex event to gain information and strengthen your confidence when talking with your children about healthy sexual relationships. Hear from a panel of experts who work with teens, and from teens themselves, about trends, pregnancy and STI prevention, and more. Leave with the information needed to support your pre-teen or teen in their ongoing efforts to stay healthy and make responsible sexual decisions.
Our next Let’s Talk About Sex event is taking place on Thursday, April 27th from 6-8:30pm at a private home in Boulder. The event is free, but RSVP is required. Register here before space runs out!
