Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center welcomes transgender patients!

We strive to create a non-judgmental, accepting environment for all of our patients, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.

Our services include:

  • Hormone therapy initiation and management.
Our physician supervises hormone therapy for adult gender confirmation following the Standards of Care set out by WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health). These guidelines include the eligibility and readiness requirements, specifically an evaluation by a mental health professional qualified to care for gender nonconforming individuals. We are happy to help arrange this. We can offer referral for adolescent hormone therapy for sex reassignment for patients under age 18, but are not including this in our services at this time.
  • Referral information for gender confirmation surgery.
  • General health care for trans men and trans women.
We offer preventive health care visits, in conjunction with other medical specialists if needed. For example, we offer referrals for prostate cancer screening if indicated or desired by the patient.
