Position Summary

Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center offers practicum students with experience counseling patients about pregnancy options, abortion and post abortion counseling.

Counseling Practicum at Women’s Health provides students with 4 hours each Friday spent observing, and one hour per week of supervision.  Practicum students will learn medical terminology, observe counselors with clients considering different options about pregnancy, family planning and birth control, and will complete data collection projects using Excel.

Qualifications

• Must support reproductive freedom.
• Current graduate student studying counseling.
• Strong preference given to bilingual Spanish-English speakers.
• Must be open to a variety of options clients may choose regarding family planning and pregnancy.
