Women’s Health strives to reduce our environmental impact.  This volunteer opportunity would be perfect for someone with interest in and dedication to helping our organization reduce, reuse, and recycle.

This job does not include any handling of or removal of medical waste.

Scope of Responsibility/Position Summary

  • Create and maintain reuse and recycle program at Women’s Health
  • Educate staff on proper practices that support our lowered-impact philosophy
  • Work in conjunction with Eco-Cycle to research green waste (composting) options for our kitchen, as well as recycling or reuse possibilities for our shredded paper and Styrofoam
  • Make a monthly trip to the hard-to-recycle center to dispose of Styrofoam and other hard-to-recycle items

Qualifications

  • Must support reproductive justice
  • Must easily take initiative
  • Interest and vast knowledge in recycling and eco-friendly business practices
